The online coaching & digital marketing industries have each exploded in recent years and don’t show signs of slowing down. These industries are expected to reach over 20 billion dollars by 2022 and as part of the fastest growing sectors in the world, there are a number of women you need to look out for. These women are breaking the glass ceiling and closing the wage gap by ditching corporate and building a legacy of their own.

I want to highlight these female entrepreneurs and showcase the work they’re doing in the space and that’s exactly what this series will do. I will be introducing future leaders who are blazing the way for others to follow in their footsteps.

Today I want to introduce you to Alicia Khordaji, Pinterest Specialist. Alicia works side by side with business coaches to help them drive dream clients to their business platforms through the magic of Pinterest marketing.

Alicia was inspired to become an entrepreneur by her grandfather. Growing up he sparked her dreams of becoming a business owner. He was a giving, driven, and kind man who ran various businesses throughout his life. Alicia likes to think she inherited all the traits he had that made him the successful business owner he was. Her creative soul has always thrived off of visual content- so it’s no surprise that Pinterest was also a big inspiration, so much so that she ultimately made a business out of it!

Alicia’s favorite part about being an entrepreneur is her clients. She’s skilled at adapting to her clients individual needs and can hold their vision as her own. She can capture her clients’ quirks and highlight, all the pieces that make them unique, and she infuses that uniqueness in their message.

As a Pinterest Specialist, here’s three tips Alicia wants to share with someone who’s interested in breaking into Pinterest marketing:

1. Know who your ideal audience is and do your Keyword research! And remember Pinterest is a visual search engine, users are more likely to search for content in phrases. I.e “Branding tips for Virtual Assistants” or “How to build a Personal Brand”.

2. Use Tailwind to help you plan/schedule out your content in advance! Pinterest and Tailwind are BFF’s!

3. BE CONSISTENT! Pinterest LOVES consistency! You will see better results when you are pinning daily.

Alicia is a new entrepreneur looking to make waves in the industry. If you want to connect with Alicia, you can find her on Instagram here!
